Hi Folks,
I would like to share an experience I had regarding something that happened over the weekend. If your
diary is anything like mine, on every page there is a list of things I must do or remember to do tomorrow. If you think of time, it becomes apparent that tomorrow becomes today and today yesterday all too quickly. We don’t know what lies ahead of us, but I think that if we knew we would make the best of every moment and that made me realize just how important it is to live each day to its fullest and not to take anything for granted. So often we wish for a better job, a new house, more money, maybe even a different town where things will be brighter on the other side, and we forget to live each day as if it’s our last day.
Sadly, we only realize this when people we know are not there anymore. Our frustration ceases and suddenly what we thought was important is not so important anymore. I am sharing this with you as I suddenly lost a good friend and colleague. He had no time to say goodbye or to correct things that were wrong in his life and yet he was so young. I saw him the day before and we had a conversation regarding our lives. I know we all have our HOPES and dreams about what we would like to achieve. Good luck with the decisions you have to make. Those important decisions that he had to make were never made because he believed there would still be a tomorrow.
On a lighter note, we had our garage hop on Saturday and we visited various members who were busy building projects. The inventions and modifications on some of these projects would make some of the big car manufacturers quite jealous I’m sure. Thanks to those who opened their garages and exchanged ideas, comments and advice.
Our next event will be our camping weekend at Kei mouth. Please, those who would like to attend must make arrangement for accommodation as soon as possible as it is the beginning of the school holidays. Please contact us so that we can finalize the camping arrangements.
Barry is still not well, we are thinking of you Barry and we wish you a speedy recovery. We missed you on the Saturday run.
God Bless, The Captain.
