Border Street Rod & V8 Club was founded in 1992 by Ivan Gierke after

attending the 1991 National show in Port Elizabeth. The club started out

with 8 committee, and 20 members and hosted its first Nationals show in

1995. Membership has grown to a total of 50 members. Of the 28 original

members 8 are still active participating club members.
